We’re attending the City Council meeting at 6 and the School Board meeting at 8 to show support for the City and School District coming back to the table, “our” table, with a clean slate to renegotiate in good faith.
Our persistent resounding voice … and showing up … is our highest leverage!
We need to show support with our presence. You do not have to speak, just show up!
Dean Suhr will summarize the thoughts of the community and the feedback from the rally. Feel free to sign up to speak as you enter the meetings, but we do want to be respectful of the Council& Board’s time, and do not want to be redundant.
No signs in the meeting rooms, or disrespectful behavior, please.

We must act now and strongly to keep Oppenlander Fields from slipping away from this and future generation’s use as a community park.
We need to help the City & District re-find their core values – the community and our children – and let them know we support them today and through the difficult decision it will take to sell/buy at a renegotiated, reasonable, and appropriate price that makes it possible for all of us to keep Oppenlander a park serving generations of children & families to come. We will need to slow the process to allow us all to be creative to work this out.————————-

Oppenlander Fields are slipping away – don’t let it happen!
Oppenlander Fields, paid for in the 70s primarily by West Linn citizens, has been an active community resource for over 40 years with three active softball fields and a walking path.
